► If we don’t learn to rest in Him – 2 things can happen:
(1) Driven by performance – We make it more about
what we can do vs what He has done.
(2) Lose your perspective – We lose sight of what God has said about us
▼ THE RESTING STARTS WHEN THE DOUBTING ENDS (2 Cor. 5:17) They were inspired to seek God… To turn to God (Phil. 3:12) “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.”
▼ YOU HAVE A NEW START – You’re a brand new you (2 Cor. 5:17, 1 Cor. 6:9-11)
▼ YOU HAVE A NEW STATUS – You’re a child of God (1 John 3:1)
▼ IN CHRIST YOU ARE FORGIVEN (Eph 1:7, Ps 103:12)
▼ IN CHRIST YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS (Ph 3:8, 2 Cor 5:23)
▼ IN CHRIST YOUR NOT DONE (Ph 1:6)
▼ IN CHRIST YOU ARE LOVED (1 John 4:10)
